Just a reminder for you what my living room looks like now....

Hi!
ReplyDeleteYour room makeover caught my eye on Remodelaholic.
As soon as I saw the real estate 'before' pic I knew you were from Australia. Something about it just seemed so familiar.
Can't believe I haven't found your blog before now. You did an awesome job on the room redo.

I agree with Kristine above!!! I usually don't comment on the featured sites on Remod cos they are often quite twee, but yours caught my eye because it looked so refreshing. No wonder - you are Aussie!!! It looks wonderful, great to add another French door, too, it is lovely to be able to open a room up to the garden (or bush in my case...). Have a look at drop cloths for your 'linen' curtains. They are a great, and cheap, substitute. I got a 12' square one for around $30, and it washed up beautifully stuffed into my front loader. Though, I shall take the next one to the local laundromat (and make sure nobody has washed horse blankets previously!). I am currently upholstering a chair (garage sale in San Fran years ago) with the drop cloth. A full upholstery right back to the bare frame (aaaghh, never done it before), I found two layers of history under the top one, it was really duty but also interesting! I shall go and look at the rest of your log now...
